My love for words is an obvious gimme so I won’t sit here and lecture to you about something that is straight forward…

Butttttt, I will tell you that my love for words came about from a love of album covers. As a kid I often had trouble sitting still in school. I was always doodling or fidgeting with something . My teachers would always question and say something like “blah blah blah, how are you going to get anywhere if you can’t sit still blah blah blah” My immediate response was pointing towards Michael Jackson and how he could never keep his feet still in the studio. As we know it, I am not Michael Jackson but I am Collin Smagala and Collin Smagala learned he could channel this burden of energy towards a creative endeavor known as copywriting. With Michael Jackson, Prince, and their many iconic album covers in mind, I thought I’d make my entire body of work into album covers. Before that, here are just some of my favorites.
